Colour!

Had a bit more time to kill, so I've persevered with this character.

Created it in a more graphic cartoon style.

More sketches of stuff in armour

knights and energy stuff

This guy looks a villian. So if this was in colour he would typically have different colour energy.

Typical Red or perhaps green.

Object on back continued ...

Object on back could be a container for energy, magic, or the soul. Or perhaps it collects a build up of energy from the character. Like a power bar.

More giant ogre type stuff ...

Continued drawings on this large boss type thing. Whats the thing on the top? Apart from the initial idea of a turret could be some weapon or sumfin, dunno yet. Just looking for a shape that works with the figure.

RPG fantasy type stuff

Back to my usual stuff. RPG type fantasy world ...
The images are crying out for some backdrop.

Battlefield? A forest? An interior scene suiting up?

Might change the shape of turret thing.

A bit of colouring in too.

Inspired by the costume of Mongolian people.

Thick clothing for sub zero temperatures and an extra big glove
for the flying robot to perch on.
A bird of prey still looks better. Might try another version with a bird.

Knight character stuff

Still have this armour stuff in my mind. I thought I'd combine tech with
the medieval world. Kind of like Steampunk I suppose.

Dragon Warrior character detail

Continued details with this dragon warrior character.
Not quite there yet. Not happy with the overall shape.
Perhaps less shiny armour and more padding, leather armour.
More chunky perhaps, make the armour more of a feature.
Any comments welcome.

Not much to say here. Usual cliche's.

Marines (computer game characters)

More sketches unearthed from my sketchpad.
These guys are drawn in this robust chunky style because I like
drawing in these proportions. Having in mind, that they
might be in some imaginary game on a handheld console,
to cope with a small screen.

Female Warrior

Posting the previous drawing reminded me of some sketches I did last year.
Having thumbed through lots of dog-eared sketchpad pages, I've scanned
in these.

Dragon Warrior

I think this is from a build up of seeing Frank Frazzeta and World of Warcraft art.
The combination of fantasy creature and a rider is a nice subject to do.
I would like to continue with this. Next time perhaps, the creature is more referenced
from the animal kingdom. Eagle, insect, dinosaur ?
